Our Story
Affectionately coined the “heart of the home,” the kitchen is the most beloved room in the house. It is where the ordinary meets the extraordinary in the age-old custom of the human experience: nourishment - body and soul, community, laughter, gathering, belonging. It is a place to serve and to be served. A place for work and for comfort. The same can be said of the home itself.

At Ellington Custom Cabinetry, we believe all living spaces should host this timeless custom in the context of both beautiful and functional design.
This was the central theme of many talks Chris and Rebecca Czarka shared while roaming the winding creek trails and iris gardens of the historic park next to their South Nashville home in charming Crieve Hall.

Chris had been running a cabinet business for many years, and the couple, who had renovated two homes in their young marriage, dreamed of becoming business owners in home remodeling one day.
While working in the industry Chris met Cameron Thompson, a skilled craftsman, lead carpenter and designer, who is passionate about the art of precision as well as efficiency. It became clear to both Chris and Cameron that with their 33 years of combined experience, they would make a coveted team.

Between Rebecca’s creativity and background in branding, Cameron’s distinctive mastery in woodworking, and Chris’s operations and business savvy, the dream became a reality, and Ellington Custom Cabinetry was born.
As for the name, the historic park where the initial aspiration unfolded is Ellington Agricultural Center, and coincidentally, “Ellington” is a term used to describe a two-door cabinet!
Needless to say, the name stuck due to its homage to Nashville as much as its reference to the line of work.
It is our greatest joy to collaborate with clients to create stunning spaces to gather, to be nourished, and to be inspired through beautiful and functional design. Let us know how we can serve you!
